Eala’s hot streak came to an end, when she was snapped by seventh seed Swiss Ylena In-Albon in their quarterfinals match on the second leg of W15 Manacor ITF in Mallorca, Spain on Friday, Jan 29, 2021. 

She failed to recover from a sloppy start and suffered a 0-6, 3-6 defeat that stopped her seven-game romp from her title run in the W15 Manacor first leg. 

The 21-year-old Swiss disposed of the 15-year-old Filipina just in one hour and 25 minutes, going perfect in the first nine. Shut out in the first set and staring at a 0-3 deficit in the next, Eala suddenly came to life, pulling even at 3-3 only to stagger again and eventually bomb out of the fight for the $15,000 top prize. 

It was her first loss after her breakthrough championship where she trounced Italian Anna Paradisi, Aussie Seone Mendez, French Carole Monnet, HongKong’s Adithya Karunaratne then Spanish Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers, followed by victories over Swede Mirjam Bjorklund and another Spanish Alba Carrillo Marin in the first two rounds of this tourney.

Nba | Joel Embiid fouled by Lebron James

Embiid's reaction to the play was this, "First of all, if you look at it, that's a very dangerous play," Embiid said. 

"I guarantee you that if it was me, I would've probably been ejected from the game."

Not even two minutes after Embiid took a hard foul from James, the referees whistled the Sixers center for an offensive foul after it appeared he elbowed Lakers big man Anthony Davis while driving to the lane.

 After foul was reviewed, Embiid also picked up a Flagrant 1 foul, which he believes shouldn't be compared to the foul that James committed earlier.

After that,  Embiid and James were both remained in that game following their fouls.

Though his back continued bothering him after falling, Embiid finished the night with 28 points in 37 minutes of action. 

While James, led the Lakers in scoring with 34 points in 38 minutes of action.

Though not included on the Top 5 in the statistical points, it was Stanley Pringle of Barangay Ginebra won and awarded as The Best Player of the Conference of PBA 45th Season.

 

Ginebra won the Championship game on PBA Bubble last Dec 9, 2020

 

Tinalo nya para sa award na ito sina Ray Parks Jr. at Roger Pogoy ng Tnt Tropang Giga, sina Calvin Abueva at Matthew Wright ng Phoenix , at CJ Perez ng Terrafirma.

Ang sabi nga ni Pringle dito ay “It just goes to show our hardwork and dedication,” with regards to winning that award and he also thank his Brgy. Ginebra team.

In this Pba bubble, Pringle has an average of 18.7 points, 6.4 rebounds at 3.2 assists on the regular season.

Aside from him, his Brgy. Ginebra teammates, Scottie Thompson won the Sportsmanship Award and Prince Caperal got the PBA Most Improved Player.
